ASI Research Fellow
Alyssa is an NSF Graduate Research Fellow pursuing her M.S. at Oregon State University with Dr. James Sulikowski. In the Northwest Atlantic, her research focuses on porbeagle shark habitat use with an emphasis on pregnant females and YOY, using ultrasound imaging and novel satellite tagging. She earned her B.S. in Marine Science with a minor in Statistics from California State University, Monterey Bay in 2025, where she conducted research on shark and ray ecology through the Ocean Predator Ecology Lab, and as a NOAA Hollings Scholar. Her research interests include shark and ray reproductive ecology and movement, with approaches including satellite telemetry, reproductive hormone analysis, and drone surveys.
