The ASI creates opportunities for boat owners to assist critical projects!
The ASI creates opportunities for boat owners to assist in these critical projects in a wide variety of ways. For that reason, the Atlantic Shark Institute created the role of Research Donors to allow you to assist as needed and see how this research is performed and the questions scientists are trying to answer.
As a result, we could use vessel owners who would be happy to take researchers out for a day on the water. This is extremely valuable to them and their need to keep research costs low.
100% of donations go directly to supporting critical shark research. Remember, as the Atlantic Shark Institute is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization, donors can deduct contributions made under IRC Section 170 and we supply the documentation needed to reflect your generosity. Thank you for your consideration.

Collaborative research plays a critical role in our strategic direction and decision-making as data collection is essential for many of our studies. Collaborating with other institutions, scientists and non-profits helps us get to critical answers more quickly than may otherwise be the case.
We leverage the collective expertise of the Research Advisory Board members to determine how and where we invest our resources in the best interest of those species that need our help and to assess the value that these studies can provide.
If you are part of a scientific institution, university, research station, feel free to reach out about collaboration.
