Tomas Koeck

Tomas Koeck is an Emmy®-nominated (New England/Boston) filmmaker and an award-winning journalist, Canon-backed photographer, and expeditionist. In simpler terms, he’s a storyteller, an environmentalist and, most importantly, an optimist.  He has been on assignment for National Geographic, Smithsonian Channel, PBS Nature, and others covering stories throughout North America and seeks to give a voice to wildlife through journalism, storytelling, and advocacy. He is the founder and director of Silent Flight Studios, a production company specializing in natural history.

 

Koeck strives to be involved and integrated in the communications and natural history field. He is a fellow at the Explorers Club, a 2026 EC50 Awardee presented by ROLEX and is also an inductee in the Lambda Pi Eta National Communication Association Honors Society. A two-time recipient for "Excellence in Journalism" by the Society of Professional Journalists, other honors include Yale University Centerpiece Film and the Sacred Heart University Gold Medal of Excellence where he holds a Master's in Journalism from the School of Communication, Media & the Arts.
